Genevieve Walshe is a multidisciplinary. Through her passion for photography, Walshe engages in various forms of artistic expression, both through personal projects and commercial endeavours. Her portfolio encompasses diverse genres such as portraiture, documentary, still life, and editorial photography. With a deep interest in memory and the extraordinary found within the ordinary, Walshe's captivating work has been recognized in both print and digital platforms. Notable collaborations have included projects with renowned clients such as Hermannsburg Potter, Tangentyere Artists, Converse, Frankie Magazine and more.
Walshe has delved into the world of ceramics, exploring themes of fantasy, the human body, and popular culture. Her creations are characterized by their whimsical and playful nature, often taking on sculptural forms that invite movement and celebrate the tactile qualities of clay. Each piece tells a story from Walshe's vivid imagination, drawing upon her internal world, social-political ideas and pop culture. Notably, in February 2022, Walshe co-coordinated an Artist In Residence and Exhibition in Alice Springs.
