BODILY AUTONOMY

Our bodies are vessels that carry identity — both deeply our own and yet separate from who we are. In the physical world, change is difficult and costly; in the virtual world, bodies can be morphed into any form, human or non-human, free from constraints. These clay sculptures reimagine classical marble and clay traditions through a lens of fantasy, where strength, gender, and beauty are reshaped and questioned. Animalistic features, exaggerated body parts, and faceless forms play with desire and challenge ideals of beauty. “Bodily Autonomy” explores identity, transformation, and empowerment beyond restrictive standards, drawing on both personal history and sculptural craft.
